Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our research team. As a Dietitian, you will provide an important role with nutritional care and guidance to our patients undergoing medication assisted weight loss. You will assess their dietary needs, develop personalized meal plans, and provide education on healthy eating habits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, individual dietary needs and health coaching.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine their nutritional needs and goals
- Develop personalized meal plans based on individual dietary requirements and restrictions
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans as needed
- Educate patients on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or disorders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing personalized meal plans
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
